Wineries, Breweries, Etc.
The Finger Lakes Region is home to approximately 125 wineries and a growing number of breweries, distilleries and cideries. As you may be aware, the Finger Lakes’ craft beverage scene has exploded in recent years, and the number of these establishments is ever growing and spread throughout the entire region. As is fast becoming common knowledge among wine enthusiasts, the Finger Lakes Region is one of the finest cold-climate wine regions in the world, and its wines are increasingly being recognized as truly world-class wines. Given the large number of great wineries in the region, we have elected to focus in this section on a sampling of some of our favorites located on the western shore of Seneca Lake (where Plum Point Lodge is located), which is the largest of the Finger Lakes and the one with by far the most wineries located on its shores. Some of the breweries, distilleries and cideries selected are reasonably close to Plum Point Lodge, but others are further afield.
