Fresh Start 2025
The year 2024 was a pivotal time for Plum Point Lodge on Seneca in many ways, as we conducted our seventh season of hospitality operations. Our beautiful Seneca lakefront location continued to be an inspiration to both us and many of our increasingly diverse overnight guests. Many of them were visiting the area to sample the best of the region’s locally produced wine, beer, spirits and ciders, while the focus of others was on the area’s great cuisine and numerous “non-craft” attractions.
As the Finger Lakes Region continues to establish itself as one of the world’s best cool climate wine production areas, its craft breweries, distilleries, cideries and culinary venues are distinguishing themselves for their authenticity, creativity and proficiency. Further, the area’s large Mennonite community, with its horse drawn buggies and simple lifestyle, adds a unique dimension to our beautiful geography by enhancing its idyllic and pastoral setting.
We are particularly excited about our all-new management and key personnel staff. Michael Janusz, our new general manager, has years of experience in restaurant and hospitality operations, from New England waterside locations to casinos and fine dinning venues. His wife, Christina, who grew up in the Finger Lakes, will be heading up our front-of-the-house restaurant and special event activities, both areas where her background and experience will prove extremely beneficial. And our new chef, Dennis Young, who brings a whole new level of excitement and innovation to our restaurant, special event and other food ventures, based on his many years of experience as a top head chef in the Northeast.
All-in-all, we are pumped about the 2025 season at Plum Point Lodge and Sapalta, and sincerely hope you’ll come pay us a visit!!
